AWANA is a Bible-centered children’s ministry providing weekly clubs, programs, and training for children from 3 years old through 6th Grade. Our goal is to reach kids, and their families, with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. The acronym AWANA comes from the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15.
AWANA meets Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 8:00 pm Sept 25th, 2024 through May 7th, 2025 (with Family Night dinner at 5:45).
AWANA is actually three clubs based on the child's age.
- Cubbies consist of 3 & 4 year old children that participate in group activities such as singing, crafts and story time as they learn about Jesus.
- Sparks are Kindergarten through 2nd graders who are involved in activities appropriate for there age such as handbook time where they have one on one time with a leader to memorize Bible verses, participate in games, singing and story time. Awards are earned to recognize them for their achievements.
- Truth & Training are our 3-6 graders. Scripture memorization has always been a focus of Awana and a child completing four years of Truth and Training would have memorized 432 verses. Teaching during handbook time focuses more on application as we continue to train children how to know God and walk with Him.
