Here are our church leaders!
Gary and wife Nancy have been a part of Grace Church for nearly 30 years. Growing up in the Central Valley of California Gary received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior as a child. God has given Gary a passion for Children's Ministries and oversees our Christian Education here at Grace. He and Nancy team together to lead our Awana program. Gary and Nancy have been married for over 37 years and God has blessed them with three children and two grandchildren. Gary's life verse is Proverbs 3:5-6. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your way acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths."
My wife Jennifer and I have been members of Grace Community Church for the last 20 years. We still have three of our four children at home. I have been involved in the Leadership of the church for the last 10 years and have now been pastoring for last year. God has placed a calling and passion in my heart to preach the good news, and I am excited for the opportunities that He is giving me to live those out at this Church. My other job, is to administrate a non-profit human service foundation that serves foster youth and families and runs a residential teen program. I coach a little High School wrestling and enjoy exploring God's creation on a mountain bike or under a back pack. I believe that God has called us as His children, to live out our faith in very real, practical and at times, difficult ways on this earth, and that He has purpose for all of the ups and downs. I believe that we should be living intentionally for Him in every and all situations and circumstances of life, and I desire to see His children thrive spiritually in the face of those circumstances.
Floyd and his wife, Jacquelyn, (Jackie) have been active together in church ministries all of their married lives, 50 years on August 21, 2020. They were charter members of Grace Community Church of the Sierra on February 9, 1986, along with their son, Ed. Floyd accepted the Lord while he attended Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky at the age of 20, as a ministerial student. But the Lord had other plans for him, by giving him talents to become a Civil Engineer to aid churches in building projects. Jackie accepted the Lord through her mother’s ministry of Good News Club - Child Evangelism, as a young child. While Floyd was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and Jackie was born in Texarkana, Texas, it was through the providence of the Lord, that He brought them together in 1969 at Azusa Pacific College, Azusa, California. Jeremiah 10:23 (NIV) “Lord, I know that people’s lives are not their own; it is not for them to direct their steps.”
